I’m thinking of finally upgrading to a smartphone and the Blackberry 8520 seems to be where I’m headed. I just have a few questions.

I will be purchasing the device using a Pay As You Go sim on Tmobile, so I’m wondering if it’s possible to use BBM and the app world whilst on Pay As You Go, or is it necessary to have a contract. If I don’t need a contract, how do I go about setting up the phone to use BBM and the like.

I do not have the phone yet, so purchase will be dependant on whether I can use BBM on PAYG.
