So I’m using a Blackberry 8900 on T-Mobile. About a week ago my call logs only showed me the missed/aborted calls. I pulled the battery and it showed me a more comprehensive list, but now it won’t update. Did another battery pull, popped it in, let it reboot itself, and after I typed my password, I got the aforementioned “Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException”. I clicked “OK”, went to my call logs, and they still wouldn’t update. Did several more battery pulls, same outcome. I’m running v4.6.1.231 (Platform 4.2.0.108).

I read on other threads and forums that other users that encountered this problem installed an app and/or theme that was the cause. Not in my case; I did not install, or modify anything. Other users had problems with their SMS messages or address book; also not in my case, because it seems that it’s only the call logs not updating.

What should I do? If someone would be so kind as to walk me thru the process of rectifying this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe updating the firmware while I’m at it would be helpful.
