Having a strange problem with my Curve 8310 that can’t seem to find a solution for.
I have taken a number of pictures using the camera which are all stored in the same location on a media card.
I can view all the pictures perfectly well using the media viewer on the BB, however when I come to view or transfer the images on a computer some of them will not open. E.g. in explorer in XP I can see the folder on the BB with all the jpgs in, go in to thumbnail view and I get thumbs of some but not all the images and if I double click on an image get ‘preview not available’.
Checking the file names I don’t see the .rem extension that many have referred to and encryption is turned off on my media card.
Now if I email one of the rogue pictures to my home email account I can view and save it as normal – almost as if the process of emailing it fixes the problem with the file.
It does sound similar to some of the recommendations I’ve seen on the .rem threads, though my file names don’t have that extension and the encryption isn’t on. I took 5 pictures last night and 1 is viewable on my PC the other 4 are not. I did not change any settings in between taking the pictures.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks
