Sure, Android 2.2 may be rolling out to Nexus Ones as we speak, but in press statements by HTC and Sony, the Hero and the Xperia X10 series (including the X10, X10 Mini, and X10 Mini Pro), will soon be receiving the update to Android 2.1. Hero owners can expect a small update coming soon to prepare the device for the full upgrade coming later this month. The X10 series will receive 2.1 “in the latter part of Q3.” On top of all of the new features introduced with Android 2.1, the X10 will gain the ability to record HD video as well as send Timescape and Mediascape wirelessly to your television
