Can these 2 broken 3g phones turn into 1 fixed phone
Posted by: Delta In: Apple Hardware
1 phone was dropped in water, the other was ran over by a car. The one that was dropped in water had a burnt out coil. The one that was run over will not turn on. So I removed the ran over motherboard and put that inside the iphone that was dropped in water. Now it just gets very warm and doesnt turn on. I’m assuming this means that the run over phone’s motherboard is dead. Or perhaps is it the battery thats at fault? Either way my question is this: Should I remove components from the ran over mother board and try to repair the coil in the 3g that was dropped in water? I’ve seen a lot of documentation on bypassing the coil in a 3gs but not for a 3g. Would it just be a coil replacement or are there resisters and other components that need to be replaced as well?
Sorry this post is so comprehensive. I’m sure the answer to my question may seem obvious, but I’m hoping that maybe someone will see something that I don’t. And have an idea as to how to proceed.
Thanks.
